Courteney Cox of the TBS sitcom Cougar Town is officially engaged to Snow Patrol's pianist and guitarist Johnny McDaid. The pair have been an item since 2013.

The actress announced the news on Twitter Thursday with a photo of the happy couple. "I'm engaged to him!" she wrote to friends and fans. McDaid mirrored Cox's announcement by simultaneously tweeting "I'm engaged to her!" on his own account.
The 50-year-old star, known primarily for her role on the iconic NBC sitcom Friends, recently collaborated with the 37-year-old musician on the film Just Before I Go. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Snow Patrol wrote and performed three songs for the film and Cox has called herself "really fortunate" to have the music they provided.

This will be Cox's second marriage. In 1999 she tied the knot with her 42-year-old Scream co-star David Arquette. They have one child together, ten-year-old Coco.
Cox and Arquette separated 2010 before divorcing in 2013, though are said to remain friends. Their relationship was marked by the comparison to their Scream characters, who fell in love during the course of the horror franchise.
The same year her divorce was finalized, Cox began seeing the Northern Ireland musician, who is 13 years her junior. The two moved in together earlier this year and currently have a pair of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
A wedding date has not been set, though Cox and McDaid recently shared a romantic vacation in the Caribbean for the actress's birthday.
