The WWE has a new World Heavyweight Champion in the wake of Money in the Bank 2014.

John Cena wrestled the title from the grasp of seven of the WWE's finest on Sunday, snagging the coveted belt in a high-stakes ladder match.

With the injured Daniel Bryan stripped of his hard-earned title by The Authority, there was no reigning champ to dethrone at Money in the Bank. Instead, Cena went up against the likes of Alberto Del Rio, Bray Wyatt, Kane, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Cesaro to take home the title.

Cena will need to watch his back, however, since Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger in order to receive the right to challenge Cena for the title at a time of Rollins' choosing.

The WWE World Heavyweight Title wasn't the only championship on the line Sunday night. The Usus (Jimmy and Jay Uso) successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championship against The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) while Paige did the same for her WEE Divas Championship title.

Meanwhile, Adam Rose took down Damien Sandow in a singles match, Rusev conquered Big E, Layla defeated Sumer Rae, and Goldust and Stardust felled Ryback and Curtis Axel in a tag team match.
