A certain defaced villain may make his way back into the world of Hannibal in season 3.
What Is In Store For First Three Episodes Of 'Hannibal' Season 3? Du Maurier's Intentions Revealed
The thoroughly demented - and now deformed - Mason Verger (Michael Pitt) will "hopefully" return to haunt fans dreams in 2015. Mostly because series creator Bryan fuller knows there's nothing like watching a man eat his own nose to make you sleep with the lights on for a week.
"We're hoping to see Mason Verger again this season." Fuller informed Shock Till You Drop.
This time, however, the pig farmer will have a new prosthetic addition to his mutilated face.
"It was one of those things where with the trials of doing a television show, we were worried about the time and being able to pull it off," Fuller said of leaving the prosthetic out of season 2. "Also, I thought it was cool to save that for season three."
While fans' horror senses may be tingling at the mere mention of Verger's name, viewers will probably have to wait until later in the season to meet up with the meat packer. The series' must devote some time to finding the fugitive Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen), after all.
