Shia LaBeouf Update: ‘Transformers’ Star Not In Rehab, But Getting Treatment For Alcohol Addition, ‘He Has Taken The First Step’ [VIDEO]
After being arrested in New York City, actor Shia LaBeouf has returned to Los Angeles. Despite rumors that LaBeouf was in rehab, the actor has not entered a facility, but is getting help for alcoholism.

E! Online reported on July 1 that LaBeouf is indeed getting outpatient help. "Contrary to previous erroneous reports, Shia LaBeouf has not checked into a rehabilitation facility but he is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction," his rep said. "He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery. There will be no further comments made at this time."
There were false reports on July 1 that the Holes star had entered rehab when he returned to California.
LaBeouf was arrested on June 26 during a performance of Broadway's Cabaret in NYC. "He was disruptive during act one and escorted out of Studio 54 at intermission," a Cabaret rep told E! Online. The actor was reportedly also disorderly when police came to arrest him. He was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing. Before attending Cabaret, an eyewitness told E! Online that LaBeouf had been drinking double margaritas at restaurant Iguana Club next door to Studio 54, where the musical is performed.
On June 27, it was reported that the Transformers actor was released on his recognizance. LaBeouf's next court date is scheduled for July 24 in NYC.
