"So excited to kick off the #PlatinumTour..." tweeted Lambert on Thursday, "Who's ready to rock, OH?" The tour also coincides with Platinum's fourth week at number one on the country charts.
Before hitting the road, Lambert recently opened up about her new album (featured below), revealing inspiration from Marilyn Monroe (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Some Like It Hot). She apparently did not realize she'd mentioned the iconic star twice until she'd listened to the whole album all the way through. "I think Marilyn's an icon to pretty much everybody," said Lambert, joking, "she should be on the record a hundred times."

Lambert also revealed that she lightened her hair to "pay homage" to her new album. "Everything that was silver is now platinum," she explained. "We don't even speak the word silver anymore on our team."
While Lambert is busy promoting Platinum, her husband has spent quite a bit of time on Twitter setting the record straight about their relationship.
"Tabloids are stupid," wrote one fan on Twitter, "married people have fights, it's normal, doesn't mean they're getting divorced". Shelton promptly reposted the statement on Thursday, adding "We don't even have fights."
Yesterday Shelton continued on the defensive, taking criticism and speculation with relatively good humor. "Good morning everybody!!!!" tweeted the country star, "I love y'all!!! And for any haters out there, find an axe handle and shove it up your a--..."
Shelton continues to joke around on Twitter with fan responses, while Lambert remains busy on tour. Next stop for the superstar singer is Monticello, Iowa on July 17th, followed by a number of stops in Ohio starting with Cleveland on July 18th.
