Teen Choice Awards 2014: 'Teen Wolf' Star Tyler Posey Hosting The Big Night [VIDEO]
The Teen Wolf will be at the Teen Choice.
As The Wrap reported on Sunday, Tyler Posey, who stars in MTV’s Teen Wolf television show, will be hosting Teen Choice 2014, the award show that is explicitly, as opposed to implicitly, for teenagers.
Posey, who won a Teen Choice award for “Choice Male Summer TV Star” at last year’s event, has been starring on MTV’s Teen Wolf, which has more brooding and less Boof than the 80’s film starring Michael J. Fox, for four seasons, and clearly he is popular with a teenaged audience. He doesn’t necessarily have the kind of crowd working and joke making experience of your typical award show host, but how many people who would resonate with the Teen Choice audience does?

Teen Choice 2014 will air on FOX Sunday August 10 at 8 p.m., but it will not be airing live across the nation as this show doesn’t have the cache of other award shows. Many stars of television, movies, and music that appeal to the teenage audience will be there. Musicians Jason Derulo and Magic!, the latter of which currently has the number one song in the county with “Rude” will be performing, amongst others. Movie stars such as Chloe Grace Moretz and Hailee Steinfeld will be there.
In all likelihood, the show won’t ask much of Posey from a hosting standpoint. Nevertheless, this is a real chance for him to get his name out there, as opposed to just being the guy who plays the teen wolf on Teen Wolf.
