James Garner Death 2014 Update: 'The Rockford Files' Actor Praised On Twitter, 'Lost A Kind Man' [REACTIONS]
Veteran actor James Garner - whose career spanned more than six decades - died on Saturday night leaving behind a memorable legacy. The actor, born in Norman, Okla., in 1928, was 86.
Garner, also a civil rights activist, was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Saturday from natural causes, according to news reports.
The Academy Award nominee was highly regarded for his role as Jim Rockford in The Rockford Files in 1974 and later became well-known as Duke in 2004's The Notebook.
Many other famous faces took to Twitter to praise Garner's work and talent as well as his demeanor.
