Since her (smart) decision to leave "Love and Hip Hop: ATL" last year, K. Michelle has been working her butt off-- No pun intended. Now, it looks like it will all pay off as the "Rebellious Soul" singer will star in her own musical on VH1, debuting on Aug. 19 at 10PM.

Whether she is in the news for her hilarious comebacks to ballsy fans on Instagram, or "doing her best" not to shade her many celeb freniemies, K. Michelle has proven to be the definition of a "Rebellious Soul." Now, from the clip released by VH1 today (Aug. 6), it looks like she will get the chance to show her fans her acting and performance skills in "Rebellious Soul The Musical."

There is no word as to whether the plot line is based off of her real life or a fictional story, but it seems that the music from her highly successful R&B album will be used throughout the film, as Idris Elba was tapped to direct the piece. She posted the picture below to Instagram two months ago, of the first shot shown in the trailer as she worked behind the scenes:

K. Michelle's newest venture is a testament to her growing star power within the industry. Since Beyoncé starred in the 2001 cult classic, "Carmen: A Hip Hopera", there have not been many musicals that have premiered on Viacom's channels. Though many fans had mixed reviews of Queen Bey's performance, it solidified her place in millennial pop culture, and this could possibly do the same for the "Love and Hip Hop ATL" star.

According to reports, the 30-year-old mother of Chase, also just finished filming her own reality show for VH1, which should be out sometime later this year.

For now, fans who want to see their favorite shade-throwing-table-shaking-singer on the big screen, they can tune into VH1 on Aug. 19th to see "Rebellious Soul The Musical." Get a first look, here!
