It looks like Ramona Singer tried to cash in her divorce announcement. Rumor has it that the Real Housewives of New York star shopped around in hopes that she could sell her divorce story to the media but was ultimately turned down.
Ramona Singer's Husband Still Cheating On Her With His Mistress?
The reality television star was forced to make the announcement via her Twitter account last Thursday after there were no takers from the press.
A source tells Radar Online on Monday, "Ramona personally called several reporters, offering to sell the exclusive announcement about the split. She was seeking $2,500, but no one bit. Even reducing the price to $500 didn't generate any interest."

The source added, "It's just bizarre that after shutting down any discussion of Mario's alleged cheating on the Real Housewives of New York reunion, Ramona was now willing to talk - for a price."
Just last Thursday, Singer made the announcement to her 423,000 Twitter followers.
"I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work," the Real Housewives of New York City star wrote. "I am excited for the new chapter in my life."
Just recently, Ramona kicked out her husband from their home after learning that he is still on contact with Dexter and has even been seeing her behind Ramona's back.
A source told In Touch Weekly on Wednesday, "She threw Mario out in late July because she discovered he was back with his mistress."
According to the magazine, Mario and the blonde socialite were seen strolling hand in hand and kissing in Montauk on Long Island. The following week, they were snapped in a photo having brunch at New York City's Anassa Taverna on Aug. 2.
Ramona and Mario have been married for over two decades.
