The official launch of Apple's OS X Mountain Lion is most definitely set for July 25. 9to5 Mac reported earlier that employees at numerous Apple stores have been booked in to work overnight this Tuesday (July 24) to perform updates, suggesting that they will launch the latest OS X the following day.

And now, latest reports from the tech site states that the OS X Mountain Lion has already been seeded to Applecare support team. 9to5 Mac reported that the latest OS was distributed via a Mac App Store redeem code to all Applecare representatives.

Select Applecare representatives have been testing the new OS X through remote computing for the past few weeks, but now OS X Mountain Lion Golden Master seed has been distributed to Applecare employees so it can be installed on their main work Macs. Employees have confirmed that their seed is build 12A269, which is the same build that was provided to developers earlier this month.

Although Apple continues to stay silent on the release of the Mountain Lion, the latest developments are surely pointing to the a July 25th launch date.

If the Cupertino-based tech giant follows the same pattern as the previous year, they will release their third-quarter earnings on July 24, and launch the Mountain Lion software the following day on July 25.

In a previous announcement Apple has said that it would launch OS X Mountain Lion in July for $19.99 and that it will include a number of improvements and features such as new Reminders and Messages.

Other features would include upgraded Notification Center, Power Nap, Dictation, Gatekeeper among other things.

Mac App Stores will make the product available on the alleged release date. It will be available to download for $19.99.
Free Mountain Lion upgrades will reportedly be given to customers who purchased a new Apple computer after June 11.

The Mountain Lion update will not be launched alongside any other major hardware launch, unlike last year when new Minis and MacBook Airs were launched at the same time.
