The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has swept the world and benefits ALS a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's disease. The rules for the ALS Challenge are that you either accept the challenge by pouring ice on your head and also donating ten dollars to the ALS charity of your choice. If you don't want to pour ice, the nominated person may donate 100 dollars to the ALS charity of their choice. Many celebrities have done it, including former President George W. Bush, Ryan Seacrest, Scandal star Kerry Washington and Kermit the Frog. For more information you can visit ALSA.org.
DeGeneres and de Rossi haven't had the easiest summer. Reports said in May that de Rossi went to rehab for alcohol, but the couple has stayed together.
"They've had their ups and downs," a source told People magazine back in July about their marriage. "Portia has been very outspoken about previous issues, like her eating disorder, and she's good at seeking help when she needs to. They've worked out difficulties in the past, and no doubt they're trying to work out any problems right now."
