Country music sensation Carrie Underwood has been busy touring the country this summer, but that hasn't stopped the singer from picking up a hobby or two along the way.

Back in July the star made assorted pies and desserts after picking blackberries with friend Ivey Childers. Now the pair are at it again, this time taking up canning in their spare time.
"Farmers Market yesterday w/ @Iveychilders…Canning day today!" announced Underwood on Instagram Sunday. She made sure to include a vibrant collection of photographs, with fresh fruit and vegtable stacked in a basket and two long rows of filled jars.

"Listened to bluegrass & made jelly & salsa & canned peaches, tomatoes & corn!" the singer added. "So much fun!"
Childers posted a similar collage to her own Instagram, adding that this was their "first trial run" and a very successful one at that. "Can't wait to learn more!" she insisted.
Both Underwood and Childers share a love for dogs, and now also for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Ironically, Childers is the owner of IveyCakes, a bakery in Franklin, Tenn. specializing in sweet treats. Underwood, who lives in Nashville, references Childers a number of times on Instagram and the pair have taken a number of photographs together.
While Underwood may be home in Nashville for now, she heads back out on the road later this week with stops in New York, Florida and Colorado.
