"Sisterhood of Hip Hop" star Siya survived her first interview with "The Breakfast Club" this morning. Here's what we learned.
WATCH our Exclusive Interview with Siya's Castmate Brianna Perry!
Oxygen's latest reality project, "The Sisterhood of Hip Hop", chronicles the lives of several up and coming female rappers. Siya, the Brooklyn native and proud lesbian of the bunch, has taken on the task of being hip hop's first "out" rapper and so far, things have been going very well for her-aside from the occasional fight with her girlfriend, Reneé.
The NY native, who moved out to Los Angeles a few years ago to sign with R&B singer Tank, has been grinding in her own skin and has turned down various opportunities because label heads insisted that she change who she was. Luckily for her, being just who she is has made fans of the new Oxygen series not only fall in love with her, but also want to know more about who she is.

In an effort to introduce herself to the masses, the passionate emcee stopped by Power 105.1's morning show "The Breakfast Club", on Aug. 29.
Here's what we learned.
1. Siya does think she could be related to Love and Hip Hop NY player, Peter Gunz, but her mother denied that he is her long lost father. People like Charlamagne beg to differ.
2. She met Tank on Twitter after he reached out, even though he is an R&B singer and not a rapper, which she expected. But, she decided to go with Tank because he did not want to change anything about her.
3. She's from Bed-Stuy, not East New York.
4. Though she and her territorial girlfriend Reneé fight a lot on the show, she loves her at the end of the day. She also will not let her ruin her career.
5. She is not changing who she is for anybody. Before Siya was signed to Tank, she passed up on numerous opportunities because they insisted she wear a dress and heels. Luckily, things worked out for her.
6. She met her girlfriend Reneé on Instagram. Trappin' ain't dead.
7. People recognize her on planes now, and her bookings have increased since the new Oxygen series aired in early August.
8. She revealed that what sets her apart from her cast mates is her commitment to lyricism, which allows her "to hold her own" with raps' dominant male contenders.
9. THE GIRL CAN SPIT. DJ Envy asked her to rap, and well... That part you just need to watch.
10. She's not looking to date anyone in the industry, and is not getting in trouble with Reneé over Charlamagne's comical questions.
11. She does not feel the need to rap about being gay, because she is an "artist first" and foremost. Though she supports other rappers in the LGBT community who do so, she does not feel the need.
12. She named her mixtape "D.Y.K.E." to take the negative meaning out of the word, instead creating a positive acronym for Damn, You Killing 'Em.
13. She is not attracted to her cast mates, and enjoys their friendship. She is working with Nyemiah Supreme on a few records.
14. She is a fan of "old" Jay Z and Nas, and calls herself the "female Biggie."
