Weatherly replied, "Every day - but she's doing wonderful things!"

The actress, 34, revealed her decision to leave the hit CBS show after eight years last summer and many fans were outraged by the announcement. De Pablo never expanded on the reason for her departure, but said it was a "personal thing."

"The idea of leaving was not something I toyed around with for a long time. It was an overwhelmingly hard thing - at times terrifying," she told TVGuide.com last September. "Leaving NCIS was not planned, so there is no plan. If I were panicking now, it would defeat the purpose. I need to get really excited about something, because for eight years I was really excited about this character. I don't want to start anything unless it's like that."

Fans will get to see the actress in an upcoming four-hour miniseries, The Dovekeepers, with executive producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett.

De Pablo will star as Shirah, a "sensual, mysterious and fiercely independent single mother with uncanny insights and a quiet and mysterious power," according to CBS.

"We are thrilled to have Cote de Pablo starring in The Dovekeepers," Downey said in a statement. "Her talent, strength and beauty will light up the screen in the important role of Shirah."

The Dovekeepers is expected to premiere in 2015.
