Chris Brown is on the east coast to promote his new album "X," which officially releases on Sept. 15. Though the singer does not usually do press, especially since his recent run-ins with the law have almost overshadowed his undeniable talent, the 25-year-old decided to sit down to set some things straight with MTV host, Sway Calloway.

In the revealing interview, Brown discusses his recent ESPN skit with his former enemy Drake and gives advice to NFL star Ray Rice in light of his recent domestic violence scandal. Unfortunately, Chris knows how Ray is feeling all too well.

"I deal with a lot of anger issues from my past and not knowing how to express myself verbally," Brown explained during the two-minute clip. After his Rihanna incident proved his longtime emotional difficulties had to be addressed, he and his team knew that he had to get help from a professional.

"I think help is great you know, I still talk to my therapist twice a week," he revealed. "For me, it actually helps... You're not supposed to keep it inside, you'll just bottle up and you'll become a monster."

Obviously, it took time and difficult learning lessons for him to get to the place he is in now, but the once-troubled star seems to be approaching a place of peace through what he's learned since 2009. As far as his advice to Ray goes, he simply said, "I've been down that road, I've dealt with situations and I've made my mistakes, too... It's all about how you push forward and how you control yourself."

Rice, who addressed the situation with his wife Janay Palmer vaguely earlier this week, tweeted that he is already getting help in a spiritual manner. Either way, per Brown's wise words from this interview, we hope that he is actually taking the steps to confront his demons.
