On Sunday the 43-year-old actor welcomed his first daughter with wife Amy Lonkar.
'Mad Men' Star 'Not Ready' To Say Goodbye
Rahm is known for his role playing Peggy Olson's (Elisabeth Moss) beau Ted Chaough on the iconic AMC series, which has spanned nearly a decade on the network. Lonkar, whom he married in 2012, is a cardiothoracic surgeon.
The couple received overwhelming support and congratulations on Twitter following the message and the Mad Men star even took some time to respond to many of the well wishes, assuring everyone that both mother and child are fine and comfortable.
When the mid-season finale aired for Mad Men back in May, Ted was going through a rough time. Potentially suicidal, he nearly crashed his plane. Nonetheless, Ted was still alive by the final frame and with that fans are given hope that perhaps Ted and Peggy will somehow get back together in spite of awkwardly running into one another in the office earlier this season.
With only a few episodes left everyone, including Rahm, feared their characters might not make it to the end. Regardless of the what happens on the show, though, Rahm is looking forward to this new and exciting chapter in his own life.
Mad Men returns to AMC for the remainder of its seventh and final season in early 2015.
