"I don't know my kids have heard it," admitted McGraw in a day-of-release interview with Taste of Country (featured below). "If it doesn't say One Direction on it I don't think they've heard it."
While McGraw joked that his three daughters haven't been listening to his music, his wife and fellow country artist Faith Hill has heard all the songs. She even sang on the album's hit single Meanwhile Back at Mama's.

The duet was a personal piece for both of them, dealing with themes from both McGraw and Hill's upbringing. They even filmed the music video at their real-life Nashville estate, which allowed them to spend more time together at home and offered for a more authentic experience on-screen.
"I grew up in a small town… it certainly wasn't an idyllic childhood," explained McGraw in discussing the duet with his wife, "But I certainly had the rural sort of background the song sort of evokes."
"It sits in the middle of all of that," continued McGraw in comparing the song to some louder "party" tunes from the summer. "[It] sort of makes you sort of stop and take a breath for a bit."
McGraw relishes in the way the song distinguishes itself from others on the album, as well as other popular songs this year.
Sundown Heaven Town hit stores on Sept. 16.
