According to the New York Daily News, People magazine didn't experience a significant sales increase by publishing the exclusive wedding photos, which were worth a whopping $2 million. (All the money went to charity.) The issue sold approximately 1 million copies, but that's not a major increase from the magazine's normal sales.
However, fans seem to love the couple's children. People magazine's sales hit 2.7 million the week in 2008 when the couple offered the first photos of their twins, Vivienne and Knox.
"There's really no drama about Brad and Angelina getting married," an industry insider told the newspaper. "They've been together for 10 years, and some readers probably think they're already married."
Aside from photos, Jolie also offered some details about the special dress she wore. Jolie's spaghetti-strap gown included dozens of drawings from her six children that were sewed into the dress by Atelier Versace's master tailor Luigi Massi.
"Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress," Jolie said. "He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."
The groom, 50, sported a suit from his own closet and he had to borrow a tie from one of his sons since the actor forgot to bring one, the magazine noted.
"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter," the couple added. "It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family."
