More than 10 years after Zoolander premiered, a sequel is in the works and one of the main stars confirmed that he's on board!

Original cast member Will Ferrell is set to appear. The veteran comedian, 47, played mean yet hilarious fashion designer Mugatu in the 2001 film.

"We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it," the actor said at the Deauville Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Zoolander 2 has yet to be officially confirmed, but the movie is listed on IMDB. Ben Stiller, who played the lead character, and Owen Wilson, who starred as Hansel, also appear on the current incomplete cast list.

"I can't say that it's actually a reality yet, but I hope some day it is," Stiller, who directed the original, told reporters during a June Q&A at Taormina Film Festival, according to Variety. "It's been about 10 years now. It's going to be old Derek Zoolander."

Actor Justin Theroux, who was also in the original, spoke about the film in an August interview with Vulture.

"Yeah, we've got a script for the sequel, and we've just been in talks again," he said. "We're trying to sharpen it and hone it and, actually, I don't want to jinx anything, but it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running."

He added: "I met with Ben [Stiller] a couple times when I was in New York doing The Leftovers, and then I'm meeting again with him probably in September."
