The funeral for Dr. Antony Kidman, father to Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, was held in Sidney, Australia Friday afternoon.

Nicole attended with her country star husband Keith Urban to bid a final farewell to her beloved father, who passed away September 12 at the age of 75.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the actress stood alongside her mother Janelle and sister Antonia in Lavender Bay at St Francis Xavier Church.

The service was led by Father Paul Coleman and during the 90-minute ceremony friends and family stood to say goodbye to a man who'd meant so very much to them.
"I was one of the luck ones," declared Nicole in speaking of her father. "I am a girl, a woman, raised by an extraordinary man… He was calm, wise, self-restrained, and generous."
A distinguished clinical psychologist, Dr. Kidman always made time for his family. Following Nicole's divorce from actor Tom Cruise, her father had gone to stay with her for weeks to make sure that his little girl was all right. He refused gifts of cars and expensive watches, content in seeing that his children were happy.
During the ceremony Nicole sang Amazing Grace, for which her husband played along on his guitar.
Dr. Kidman collapsed at his hotel of what is believed to be a heart attack while visiting Antonia in Singapore last week. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead at 10 a.m. last Friday.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and numerous grandchildren.
