ISIS Executioner Named: True Identity Of 'Jihadi John' Militant Who Beheaded Western Hostages Named By FBI [VIDEO]
It is being reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed the identity of the ISIS militant who beheaded multiple innocent hostages.
The identity of the masked ISIS member is now known by the FBI, according to multiple sources. It is thought to be the militant who beheaded American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff as well as British aid worker David Haines.
The man has been dubbed Jihadi John, though his true identity is not being revealed to the public. He is reportedly a hostage negotiator within a group of British ISIS fighters living in Syria. The militant is allegedly from the United Kingdom and may have come from the London area, due to his accent.
It had been deemed "increasingly likely" back in August that the executioner in Foley and Sotloff's beheading was British, according to Prime Minister David Cameron.
"The U.S. intelligence community has analyzed the recently released video showing U.S. citizens James Foley and Steven Sotloff. We have reached the judgment that this video is authentic," White House National Security Council spokesperson Caitlin Hayden said at that time.
After beheading Foley in the graphic video, the masked ISIS member brought out Sotloff, telling the camera, "The life of this American citizen, Obama, depends on your next decision."
