Amanda Bynes Arrest: Parents ‘In Denial’ Over Former Actress Relapsing? Reportedly Have ‘No Idea’ Where She Is As Fears Resurface She Will End Up ‘In Jail, A Mental Ward, Or Dead?’ [PHOTOS]
They were supposed to be playing a huge part in her amazing recovery, but Amanda Bynes' parents have reportedly no idea where their daughter is following her shocking and surprising arrest for a DUI.
Following the news of her arrest on Sunday in Van Nuys, Calif. her parents, Lynn and Rick, have spoken out about the situation, but shockingly admitted that they hadn't even heard from their daughter after she moved out of their home earlier this month, and they have no idea where she is now.
According to Extra, Rick said his daughter moved out of her parents' home a few weeks ago, after their conservatorship over them ended. They believed she had moved to New York, but now know she had remained in the Los Angeles area after learning about her arrest from the media.

He also admitted that they were not the ones who posted Amanda's $15,000 bail, and they're not sure who did.
According to Hollywood Life, both the former actress and her parents have been in denial about her issues with drugs, as well as her supposed mental illnesses.
"Denial, denial, denial. Not only is Amanda in denial over the severity of her ongoing problems, but so is her family," a source told the website. "It's not a shock that she was picked up by the cops...again. It was only a matter of time. There's this shame attached to mental illness, so unfortunately it's not treated and it only gets worse. If Amanda was a diabetic, wouldn't she be given the proper treatment? Of course she would."
"Her condition can be treated, but not when she herself is in denial and her family is in denial," the source added. "It's tragic. If left untreated. Amanda will end up with one of the following scenarios: In jail, in a mental ward or dead."
The arrest comes a little over a year after the actress was placed in an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold after setting a fire in her parents' neighbor's driveway in July 2013, the latest bizarre event in a long series of increasingly erratic behaviors at the time. She was released in December and had been living with her parents and attending classes at FIDM since.
After she was placed in the involuntary hold, she was reported as having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, something Lynn denied was the truth in April of this year.
"Amanda has no mental illness whatsoever. She has never been diagnosed as schizophrenic or bipolar," Lynn said at the time. "Amanda is very sorry for all the hurtful tweets, statements and actions that occurred while she was under the influence of marijuana."
Bynes was also arrested in New York in May 2013 and charged with marijuana possession and reckless endangerment after she was caught smoking pot in the lobby of her apartment building, and later tossed a bong out of her 36th floor apartment window. A judge dismissed those charges earlier this year after she remained out of trouble for six months and attended counseling sessions twice a week.
