Including his wins at this year's London Olympics, Michael Phelps has won 18 medals in his Olympic career. Most recently he won the silver in the July 31 200-meter butterfly. His chance to win medal no. 19 will be on Thursday in the 200-meter IM final and if he does win that event.

The Maryland native won eight at the Beijing Games, making history by winning eight gold medals in eight events. He also set the record of being the first person to win eight races at one Olympic Games.

The World Swimming Federation lists him today at 6'4" and 195 pounds, according to the article.

"For me right now the only thing I'm worried about is myself and preparing myself to go out and represent my country and step up and wear the stars and stripes and try to swim as fast as I can," Phelps said at media day for the U.S. Olympic swimming team. "There's nothing else that needs to be said about it."

Phelps is expected to race in 7 games while in London. So far, he won the silver medal for the men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay along with his win in the 200-meter butterfly.

He won gold medals in both the Athens and Beijing Olympics but he announced this year at the London Games will be his last Olympics. Hoping to go out with a bang, he is standing up to rival Ryan Lochte with the hopes of reclaiming his title as a force to be reckoned with.
