It looks as though Kerry Washington is going to make her way from the small screen to the big screen once again. The actress is set to star in the new romantic comedy Is He The One next year.

According to Deadline on Tuesday, the film will be directed by Malcolm D. Lee and centers around a woman who dresses for her wedding and ends with a walk down the aisle. Washington is to play the bride, with the story told in a series of flashbacks that go through the major relationships of her life.

While she's getting gigs in the big screen, things seem to look pretty good for Washington on the small screen as well. The Hollywood actress, who plays Olivia Pope in the hit ABC drama Scandal, recently opened up about her character's style along with her signature two-piece Prada look.

The Hollywood actress told Style.com in a new interview last month that while she loves Olivia Pope's on screen style, she doesn't dress anything like her character off-screen.

"Lyn Paolo, our brilliant costume designer and I worked really hard to come up with the Olivia Pope aesthetic because we understood that the character had to be a really powerful woman," Washington told the magazine.

She added, "We wanted to find a way for her to look strong but also feminine. We worked really hard on the silhouette and the palette to redefine our understanding of what a power suit could look like. In a lot of ways, when people think of a power suit for a woman, it looks a lot of times like dressing for a man. We wanted to reinvent the idea of a power suit for women. It's been a blast; it is not how I dress at all. I do work for the White House and I work in Washington, and when I'm there, I do not dress like Olivia Pope!"
