Bryan Batt, who played Salvatore Romano on the AMC drama, married his longtime partner event planner Tom Cianfichi in an outdoor ceremony on Sept. 28.

"I've had some good ones, but this was the best night of my life!" declared Batt in confirming the marriage with Us Weekly on Tuesday.

The couple tied the knot in New Orleans' Garden District after marrying legally in New York City. With jazz and paper lanterns in the background, they danced to What a Wonderful World as they shared the day with close family and friends.

Amount the guests was Batt's Mad Men costar Christina Hendricks (Joan Harris) and her husband Geoffrey Arend.

"It was beautiful," declared Batt, who'd gotten nervous when a weather report that afternoon predicted rain. An hour later, however, the sun was shining and the chance of rain had disappeared completely.

"We looked to the heavens and asked our late moms to do whatever they could," admitted the actor.

Batt and Cianfichi have been together for 25 years and are excited to continue their life together as a married couple.

With production completed and post-production nearing its end, Mad Men returns to AMC to finish its seventh and final season in early 2015.
