Although it was recently said that comedian Tracy Morgan may never work again, fans can actually hear the 30 Rock star in a film out right now.
Tracy Morgan Is 'A Fighter' But Still Struggling After Walmart Car Accident
Morgan currently voices a character named Mr. Gristle in the animated film The Boxtrolls. The Boxtrolls also stars Elle Fanning and Ben Kingsley. The film is about an orphaned boy who was raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors and tries to save his friends from an exterminator.
The Boxtrolls was released in late September despite Morgan's on-going battle to recover from his tragic June car accident.
Chicago Lawyer 'Not Unusual' For Questions About Seatbelt Use To Arise In Cases Like Tracy Morgan's
Morgan's lawyer Benedict Morelli previously told Page Six that "the jury's still out" on whether Morgan would perform again. "The doctors don't know the answer. I don't know the answer."
Morgan has been in rehab trying to recover after a Walmart truck hit his limo in June in New Jersey. Walmart has since tried to place some blame on Morgan for not wearing his seatbelt.
"By failing to exercise ordinary care in making use of available seatbelts, upon information and belief, plaintiffs acted unreasonably and in disregard of plaintiffs' own best interests," Walmart's 28-page response read. "Accordingly, all or a portion of the injuries could have been diminished or minimized by the exercise of reasonable conduct using the available seatbelts."
Morgan's lawyer than issued a statement on behalf of the comedian where he said he was "shocked" by Walmart's comments. "After I heard what Walmart said in court I felt I had to speak out," Morgan said in a statement. "I can't believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I'm fighting hard every day to get back."
