Shonda Rhimes Twitter Criticism; 'Scandal' Creator Blasts Fan Over 'Gay Sex' Comments, Fan Enjoys Spotlight on National News [PHOTO]
Twitter is one of Shonda Rhimes' secret weapons. One of the greatest parts about watching "Scandal" and "How to Get Away With Murder" is tweeting along with fellow gladiators and cast members as the show plays out in front of their very eyes. Never underestimate the power of 140 fan freak-outs from the shocking plot twists, networks like ABC love it.
Still, even when the show is not airing, Shonda tweets fans from her own account to answer fan questions, promote (or demolish) articles about her Shondaland shows and to share the inner-workings of her genius writer's mind. But, when one fan shared his views on the show, she decided to give him a piece of her mind.
Shonda Rhimes Blasts NY Times Article That Called Her an 'Angry Black Woman'
The new episodes of "How to Get Away with Murder" and "Scandal" show more provocative love scenes than they have in the past, and now, more of them feature scenes with gay men. When Shonda pushes the limit, she does not think about race, color, gender or sexual orientation, she just wants your jaw to hit the floor until further notice.
So, when a fan told her how much he hated those scenes, she replied in her own Shonda-way.
@Dabdelhakiem What gay scenes? "Gay" scenes?

In a recent interview with E!, the co-creator of #HTGAWM Peter Nowalk shared why that gay sex scenes were intentional on his part. "Writing some real gay sex into a network show is to right the wrong of all of the straight sex that you see on TV. Because I didn't see that growing up, and I feel like the more people get used to two men kissing, the less weird it will be for people."
