Carrie Underwood may be pregnant, but the country music star is still making sure she's in great shape for the CMA Awards this fall.

According to Underwood's trailer Erin Opera, many of the singer's current workouts are easy to do from home, though she maintained that it is essential to get approval from a medical professional before designing a work out routine while pregnant.
"It's not just about looking your best," Opera told E! on Wednesday. "It's about making yourself feel better. [Carrie] just wanted to be healthy, and she looks fantastic. She's eating good and continuing to work out."

Opera explained that the Something In The Water singer does some cardio and exercises which strengthen her core."
"We do a lot of plants, jump roping, and we still do lots of weight. We're just doing lighter weights, to keep her definition and tone," noted Opera. "[Plus] tons of fun variations of lunges and squats."
Opera also said that they include some cardio, which is good for keep up the heart rate and "do stretching at the end of every session."
In addition to working out, there is the diet. It is not just about "dieting" but rather focusing on healthy foods. Underwood is described as leading a pretty "vegan" lifestyle, eating a lot of legumes and vegetables. Opera noted that processed foods aren't the best when it comes to regulating energy and that Underwood tries to stay away from them. Of course, plenty of water is a must.
Underwood has only just begun to show off her baby bump at a collection of recent appearances designed to promote the CMA Awards next week, which she will be hosting with fellow country artist Brad Paisley. This will be the first child for the singer and her husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators.
The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
