Jennifer Lopez is opening up about her heavily publicized love life for the very first time. The singer and actress admits that her ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck was her "first major heartbreak" after she broke up with the actor back in 2004.

According to In Touch Weekly on Friday, when Lopez was quizzed on the time period she broke up with Affleck and married Marc Anthony on the Today Show, she said it was one of the most difficult times of her life.
She said, "It was probably my first big heartbreak, and to have one of my best friends who I'd known for years, who I actually love and did have chemistry with, come into my life and say, 'I'm here'.... What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you... Only you can do that for yourself."

The 45-year-old single mother of two also said that she is taking it one day at a time with her love life, which includes three marriages and a failed relationship with ex-boyfriend Casper Smart.
She said, "It's still a work in progress for me. It's how you feel as a child, you know, being a middle child and kind of being invisible sometimes, or, you know, trying to get the attention."
Just recently, Lopez also admitted that she was once in an abusive relationship as well.
According to Gossip Cop on Thursday, Lopez dished the dirt on her past relationships, which included her ex-husbands Ojani Noa and Cris Judd and Smart.
Even though she doesn't specify who she was with during her abusive relationship, she does detail how she felt after her marriage ended to Marc Anthony.
She wrote in her book, True Love, "Anybody looking from the outside in would have thought my life was great. I had a husband and two beautiful children. I was on 'American Idol' and my new single 'On the Floor' had gone to number one all over the world." She added, however, "What people didn't know was that life really wasn't that good. My relationship was falling apart and I was terrified."
She explained, "It was one of those moments when you're so scared you can't even scream. In a blur of fear and panic, I looked at [manager] Benny Medina and my mother and blurted out the words: 'I don't think I can be with Marc anymore.' Then I burst into tears."
