Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber's Relationship Revealed in 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' VIDEO? Singer Gets Emotional
Selena Gomez is heartbroken and she's singing about it on her emotional new song "Heart Wants What It Wants."
The multi-platinum singer, 22, also released the song's somber video on Thursday, which shows her relationship with a seemingly uninvolved man. The broken love affair appears to be portraying her controversial on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber.
The black-and-white video opens with Gomez pouring her heart out about a man who has hurt her.
"When I was on stage and I was thinking of... I felt like I know him though and I know his heart and I know what he wouldn't do anything to hurt me," she says. "But I didn't realize that feeling so confident and feeling so great about myself and then it just be completely shattered by one thing, by something so stupid."
In tears, she adds, "But then you make me feel crazy. You make me feel like it's my fault. I was in pain."
After the conversation, Gomez steps out with a fake smile as she meets with friends and the man breaking her heart.
While she is clearly miserable in the video, Gomez also appears to be sending naysayers a message. "Save your advice because I won't hear, you might be right, but I don't care," she sings on the song. "There's a million reasons why I should give you up, but the heart wants what it wants."
The song appears on her upcoming album For You, which features old songs, new mixes and two more previously unreleased ones - "Do It" and the Spanish version of "More." The album is set for release on Nov. 24 and fans pre-order it on iTunes today.
