Carrie Underwood, Mike Fisher Baby: All The Pregnant Singer's Beauty Tips, Plus How She Achieved That CMA 'Glow' [VIDEO]
Carrie Underwood was glowing at the CMA Awards Wednesday night, and while part of that may have had something to do with the country singer's pregnancy, she also got a little help from makeup artist Melissa Schleicher.

Apparently Underwood and Schleicher designed the singer's look the day of the show, following the flow rather than a set plan. On Thursday, Schleicher told People all about how they accomplished the star's lovely image.
"Carrie is so easy," noted the makeup artist. "We don't plan anything out. When we get there the night of we just look at it. She goes with the flow. We wanted something very classic and timeless."

To achieve the look Schleicher applied Almay Smart Shade CC to the singer's skin, which is no surprise given that Underwood is the spokeswoman for Almay. The artist then blended a pink and nude blush to give her a hint of color before adding a light pink lipstick, which complimented the creamy color of the singer's gown.
For Underwood's eyes, Schleicher applied liquid eyeliner and some dark eye shadow for a smoky look.
"The most time we ever had to change is fourteen minutes for clothes, shoes, hair, and makeup," explained Schleicher. "We only had six minutes to get her ready for her performance, which was kind of nerve wracking."
The makeup artist didn't let her nerves get the better of her though, helping Underwood to create flawless look after flawless look each time the singer went out on stage.
"We did go a little lighter on her hair," she added. "We were going in the darker, ombre direction for a while, but we brightened it up for last night. She looked like a ray of sunshine."
As for the Something in the Water singer's skin, Schleicher had just one tip as to how she achieved the glow.
"I added a little coconut oil to her skin at the very end to give her that extra glow. Seriously, just a dot," added Schleicher, "The tiniest bit ever."
Underwood announced back in September that she and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, are currently expecting their first child. The baby, rumored to be a boy, is due in the spring.
