Stevie Wonder has clarified whether his fiancée Tomeka Robyn Bracy is expecting triplets.

He spoke with The View Wednesday morning and set the record straight with Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts.

"Actually it's not true. The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, to be born in December. Name is going to be Nia, which is 'purpose.' Rumors spread, and like I said before in the song 'Superstition,' when you believe in things you don't understand, you suffer. So you know, That's a bunch of bull!"

He was able to joke about the matter and added, "I've got how many - 22 kids?"

In reality, Wonder, 64, has eight from the age of one-years-old to 39. The newborn will make it nine.

Speculation that Wonder and Bracy were expecting triplets swirled after Page Six was one of many sites to report the news.

An insider said to be close to the family told the newspaper, "It's Stevie's mechanism for happiness. I don't know that he set out to have 11 children, including triplets at his age, but it's not like he isn't happy about it or he can't afford children."

They continued and said that Wonder's children are doing great. His oldest, Aisha, spends lots of time with him while he also assists one of his son's Mumtaz, with his music aspirations.

"He knows that being a father is a full-time job and now that he's a little older, he feel alike he's up to the task and he doesn't want to let any of them down."
