Surprisingly, the always-ready-to-talk K. Michelle was taken aback by the Idris question. After pausing and listening to the audiences' reaction, she said, "Well... Uh, I've been very protective of certain things and situations, but you know what, I really respect him and our situation."
Then, she added, "I will always love him and that's all I am going to say."
Throughout the night, an exclusive group of guests (including members of our Enstars original team) listened to a preview of the tracks of from her upcoming record. The album is full of emotion and as K described, "is about one particular person and I think that [although] people don't want to be heartbroken, I really thank God for this heartbreak because I wouldn't have had these songs. So, I just wonder who the next man is gonna be before the next album, because if I don't find one to break my heart, we all in trouble [laughs]."
K. Michelle Speaks on Dating Lance Stephenson & More with Necole Bitchie
Idris Elba has yet to speak on any of the rumors or K. Michelle's comments about him. But, judging from the album and her reaction (in the video below), things between the two of them could have been very serious. Still, don't expect to see him on "K. Michelle: My Life" anytime soon. Whatever they had seems to be over.
Before the interview ended, she said, "I sent all of these records to him first and he emailed me back and texted me back and said, 'This is art! I'm so sad this is where we are.' Sh*t I ain't that sad. It's a sad situation but I got records from it."
