'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 7 Episode 1 Recap: Apollo Nida & Phaedra Parks Divide Fans on Twitter Over Courtroom Decision, 'She Was Wrong!' [PHOTO]
Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida faced the most difficult part of their marriage, last night on "Real Housewives of Atlanta." Apollo was sentenced to eight years in prison for bank fraud and fans watched him go through his legal battles by himself. During the trial and legal proceedings, which lasted most of the summer, Nida's estranged wife was nowhere to be found. She kept all comments to herself until her interview with America's favorite funny-woman, Ellen Degeneres, in the middle of October.

Now, thanks to Bravo's cameras, fans finally saw a glimpse of what happened and why she was not there to support her husband during his sentencing. On Twitter, fans seem to be divided over which person was right in the situation.
According to Parks, she did not want the media to snap pictures of her children and decided to leave she and Nida's home to stay in a hotel. Without a phone call, text or any type of family support (besides his brother), Apollo faced his sentencing alone. When she returned home, a very hurt Apollo was waiting for her with Bravo cameras rolling.

Straight up, I wouldn't have been there for Apollo's *ss, either. Got me looking stupid, messing up the home team. #TFOH #RHOA — Mia (@FenixAftaDark) November 10, 2014
Yo I feel for Apollo and Phaedra is wrong for leaving him at this moment. “For better or for worst” that's the vows you promised #rhoa — Baecesca. (@frenchwendia) November 10, 2014
#RHOA is back!!! I actually felt sorry for Apollo... What he done was wrong but Phaedra needs to reassess her stance as a wife. — Evie Amor (@EvieAmor) November 10, 2014
Apollo was wrong.... YES! but as a wife/mother.... She should've shown her face in court at least #rhoa — Mia (@miathompson71) November 10, 2014
If Phaedra is claiming Apollo is being selfish, then she shouldn't have married him from the start #RHOA — Mia (@miathompson71) November 10, 2014
I do NOT like Apollo or PhaKedra BUT a marriage is a PARTNERship. I will speak 4 Apollo & say it's not sympathy he wants but a partner #RHOA — Marcus G. (@NgloriusBasterd) November 10, 2014
I'm sure if Apollo wasn't such an *sshole last season, Phaedra would probably be a little more understanding. He screwed himself #RHOA — Simone Alexa (@SimoneAlexa) November 10, 2014
While others berated Apollo for his selfish decisions...
Apollo is ridiculous. You broke the law you have to pay for it. Why blame your wife? #RHOA — Manita (@ManitaRughwani) November 10, 2014
Pha turning her back is actually making people feel sorry for Apollo now. He's wrong but still #rhoa — Olivia LaBorde (@OliviaLaBorde) November 10, 2014
I can understand why Phaedra isn't going to court with Apollo; her kids come first tbh. #RHOA — nabizzleeee (@MissNabillaDoma) November 10, 2014
Apollo is crazy you treated Phaedra like shit last season committed crimes then you act surprised when Phaedra decided to leave. #rhoa — Dionte Brown (@AllAboutDionte) November 10, 2014
While #Apollo's thinking 'bout himself, hell, he shoulda been thinking about the damage he wld do to his wife, family. #RHOA — Mia (@FenixAftaDark) November 10, 2014
I don't hear Apollo taking much responsibility. He's saying "I'm not a murderer... I got caught because of a coconspirator" #rhoa — Banjee Stone (@thorNation) November 10, 2014
Apollo is a freaking joke!! #rhoa he's such an idiot. He doesn't get that his criminal activity IS IN FACT SELFISH. run Phaedra run! — Chasta (@TheChastaMarie) November 10, 2014
Obviously, this is not an easy time for their family or their two kids, Ayden and Mr. President (Dylan). Hopefully, once Apollo returns, the two can work out a way to parent them as they will greatly be affected by not having their father around.
