The men's volleyball quarterfinals play out all day on Aug. 8 and will guarantee spots in the semifinals and one step closer to that gold medal around their necks.

Here's a look at the lineup and the Eastern Time that each match will take place :

First to play was Argentina against Brazil. Brazil comes in third, tied with USA, as the country with the most all-time volleyball medals, a total count of 7. Argentinean Sebastian Sole served the first ball of the game and in the end, his team was unsuccessful in five spikes and received seven whistled team faults. Brazil won with the top scores in all three sets, making them move on to the semifinals.

At 11 a.m., USA goes up against Italy. America has already prevailed against Tunisia, Germany and Serbia and now they go to conquer Italy in the men's quarterfinals #4.

At 2:30 p.m, Poland and Russia go head to head with 12 players on each time. Coming in at 6-foot-11-inches is Polish player Marcin Mozdzonek and matching him on Team Russia is Alexander Volkov. Poland has won two of the five matches they have already played, while Russia has won four out of five.

Finally at 4:30 p.m., Bulgaria will compete against Germany. Both teams have lost many of the matches they have already played, including ones against USA, Italy and Brazil, according to NBC.
