Blake Shelton is incredibly proud of his wife and fellow country artist Miranda Lambert, but there are some places where he just has to draw the line.

This week Lambert spent some time at the Pedigree Adoption Suite at the Music City Center in Nashville, where she became rather attached to an eight-week-old puppy named Patsy and a caramel-colored little one called Waylon.
The Somethin' Bad, who already has nearly a dozen dogs of her own, would have probably taken one home in Shelton hadn't stopped her.

"I've already gotten the 'No' text from my husband," Lambert told People on Wednesday. "That's it. Just 'No.' I know what it means. He knows where I am."
The singer understands her husband's reluctance, even if she would gladly take in some more pets. "I have seven now," admitted Lambert in talking about her own dogs. "Delilah was my first, but she lives with grandmother half the time… Delta Dawn was my next one. My newest is Bellamy and I got him in a shelter in Florida on tour last year… but I'm done, for a while."
Lambert is a huge advocate for pet adoption and adores her puppies, though it does become a lot for Shelton to handle.
"I have four that are in our house most of the time, but I looked at Blake one day and realized if I don't give him a break from these dogs, he might go crazy. I want to keep them all," she explained, "but I need Blake to be good with that too."
Fortunately for Lambert, she found the ideal solution to her problem.
"I built them their own house outside of ours..." she told People. "We had heat and air put in it… so they have their own little place."
Lambert founded MuttNation in 2009 with the aim of helping shelter dogs find homes and had continued to promote her cause over the last five years.
