The semifinals for the men's 200-meter sprint airs on Aug. 8 at 3:10 p.m. Eastern Time and Jamaica's Usain Bolt, the current world record holder, will run to nab himself a spot in the finals and a chance at another gold medal.

The sprinter, 25, set the world record with a time of 19.19 seconds in 2009. Bolt already has reached Olympic gold this year, receiving one in the men's 100-meter final, and hopes to add another to his collection. This is his third Olympic Games and he ranked first in his heat in round 1 of the men's 200-meter sprint on Aug. 7, giving him a good chance of dominating the competition once again on Wednesday.

He will perform in the second heat, with America's Isiah Young and six other sprinters. If fellow Jamaican, Yohan Blake, qualifies to move on after his own heat, the two athletes will have to compete against each other in the finals on Aug. 9 for their home country. Three sprinters from Team Jamaica will perform in the semifinals, Warren Weir being the third.

Bolt will later this week run in the men's 4x100-meter relay. Not only does he hold the world record for the 200-meter, but Bolt also set another world record: for the 100-meter relay. His Olympic time of 9.63 seconds is the one to beat now and with that, Bolt won his second consecutive 100-meter gold medal.

Watch the action play out at 3:10 p.m. with live streaming available from NBC.
