“How befitting for the future King of England to travel to Kings County!” Borough President Eric Adams said in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming Prince William and Duchess Kate as they enjoy our Brooklyn Nets ‘dethroning’ King James and the Cavaliers.”
While Prince William visits Washington, D.C. for solo events, Middleton will also attend two events on her own.
"Her Royal Highness will also attend a lunch, hosted by the British Consul General in New York, to celebrate the achievements of a successful British community in New York from the culture, arts, hospitality and business sectors," the royal announcement reads.
The 32-year-old will also spend some time at a child development facility with The First Lady of New York City, Chirlane McCray, on Dec. 8.
“Appreciate that The Duchess of Cambridge will highlight the importance of mental health by touring a NYC child development facility,” McCray tweeted Friday.
This will be the first time the royal couple visits New York and Washington, D.C. Their adorable son Prince George, however, won’t accompany them on the trip.
