Women's 10M Platform Diving Finals Live Stream, Aug. 9 at 2 PM, Olympics 2012
The women's 10-meter platform finals air on Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. Eastern time, where 12 divers will take to the waters one last time before the Olympics end on Sunday.
In the semifinals, China's Chen Ruolin came in first with a score of 407.25 and Canada's Meaghan Benfeito was second with 359.90. Her fifth dive, a back 2 ½ somersault 1 ½ twist, earned Roulin a 84.80, her highest score in the event. The 19-year-old won two platform titles at the 2011 Worlds in Shanghai and on July 31, she won gold at London's women's synchronized 10-meter platform finals. Benfeito received the bronze at that same event.
The finals will include divers from Ukraine, Mexico, Russia, Germany and two Australians. No American qualified to move on to the semifinals. Brittany Viola and Katie Bell ranked 15 and 16 in the semifinals.
China currently holds the most Olympic diving medals in the 2012 Games with a total of eight. Mexico and the U.S. are tied with three medals.

The men's 10-meter platform will play out on Aug. 11 at 3:30 p.m. Nick McCrory and David Boudia are the only divers from Team America to compete in the preliminary round on Aug. 10 to qualify for a spot in the finals.
