USA vs. Japan: Women's Soccer Finals; Live Stream at 2:45 PM, Olympics 2012
In the last women's soccer game of the 2012 Olympics, USA will go head-to-head with Japan in the gold medal match.
The game will air on Aug. 9 at 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time. USA's women's soccer team has already defeated 4-5 of the matches that they have played, giving them a good shot of doing it again against Japan, who won 3-5. The one team that the U.S. lost against was Canada, which is exactly the team that Japan performed their best against. Japan first beat Brazil in the quarterfinals, then France in the semifinals and they are planning to do the same with America in the finals.

Canada moved on to the bronze medal match and beat France, 1-0.
The action kicks off at Wembley Stadium and if the U.S. wins, it will be their seventh Olympic medal at the London Games. According to NBC statistics, USA's Abby Wambach is soccer's second highest woman scorer, completing 5 goals in London. Canada's Christine Sinclair scored six overall. In U.S. history, Wambach is the second-leading scorer, behind Mia Hamm. She competed in the 2004 Olympic Games but had to miss the Beijing because of a knee injury.
