USA vs. Japan in the women's soccer final of the London 2012 Olympic Games takes place Thursday. The fierce football match will kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).

The USA's women's soccer team managed to come through an epic semi final match against Canada that went to extra time. It took an Alex Morgan goal in the final minute of extra time to get Team USA through that semi final and into today's final against Japan. With most expecting the game to go to penalty kicks the United States broke Canadian hearts with their last gasp win.

The United States will be hoping their players are not too tired from that energy-sapping outing against Canada, and they have an even more fierce opponent in the final in Japan. Team USA have the second top goalscorer in the women's Olympic tournament in their team, Abby Wambach, who has scored 5 goals so far and will be looking for more today.

The team's line up today for the final as follows:

Team USA:

GK: Hope Solo
