According to a new report, Tamburello, who dated Brown for many years, made one final attempt at reconciling with Brown by proposing to her with a ruby ring in her hospital room at the NYU Langone Medical Center.
A source close to Brown told Us Weekly that Tamburello arrived to Brown's room five days before her death and got down on bended knee, presenting her with a ruby ring and a GoPro video camera.

On Friday, Nov. 14, Brown died of cancer. In the months prior, Brown had been diagnosed with the disease for the third time. Although the reality star, who appeared on MTV's The Challenge, had beat cancer twice before, her third battle was much more difficult, as the cancer was spreading quicker than doctors were able to treat it.
As Brown continued to fight, Tamburello was at her side. During one visit to her hospital room, Tamburello shared a photo of himself and his longtime love holding hands as they slept beside one another.
"He proposed and filmed the entire thing," a friend told the magazine. "Diem joked that she hated rubies and said no." Although Tamburello, who was determined to make their engagement happened, returned the next day with a new ring, Brown was still not ready to accept.
"Diem knew she didn't have much longer to live, and she didn't want to be engaged under those circumstances," the friend explained.
