Her parents are giving up their conservatorship of her in an effort to repair their relationship, but Amanda Bynes' parents aren't fully letting their daughter go on with her life without having the ability to make sure she isn't getting into trouble.
Amanda Bynes Clarifies Identity Of Alleged Fiance
According to Radar Online, Lynn and Rick Bynes have managed to still keep track of their troubled daughter, even though she has been keeping a lower profile in recent weeks, thanks to signing her up for an Uber account.
Her parents are reportedly tracking her movements through a GPS after setting her up for an account with the car service.
Amanda Bynes Posts More Troubling Tweets
"Amanda's mom, Lynn, set up the Uber car service on her daughter's cell phone, " An insider told the website. "Uber can take Amanda anywhere she needs to go and it's paid for out of Amanda's estate, since her mom has conservatorship."
"This allows Amanda to have independence," the source continued. "But at the same time her parents can track where she goes."
Bynes has reportedly been living at a hotel in Glendale, California, while her parents prepare to leave California and move back to Texas.
"Amanda's parents are getting ready to move back to Texas. They had only come out to California after Amanda started exhibiting serious problems and they feel they've done all they can," the source said.
Bynes was placed under an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold in 2013 after increasingly alarming behaviors, and was released into her parents' custody in December. She recently began exhibiting alarming behaviors again this fall, following an arrest for a DUI in September.
