Sligh's girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, told CBS that two men were driving recklessly in the parking lot and doing donuts.
"The whole imagery of everything that happened last night is still very fresh and scary," she said. "They almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, 'Please slow down or we're gonna call the cops, just go home."
Although the two men fled the scene after the attack, cops were able to locate them with the help of a witness, who followed them and saw that they crashed their car close by.
Sligh suffered multiple injuries and underwent surgery for a broken arm at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
"I have no hatred for these guys," he told The Wrap in a new interview. "It was pretty scary [being] on the hood of that car, but I'm happy to still be able to move my neck. I'm happy to have the problem of relearning to walk instead of not being able to walk at all. I'm pretty blessed."
