The city of Ferguson, Mo. went up in flames after a grand jury decided not to indict officer Darren Wilson in the murder of unarmed black teen Michael Brown.

Since the jury's decision, violence has erupted in the streets of the small suburban town and Louis Head, Brown's stepfather, may face criminal charges because of his rant.

Immediately following the announcement Brown's mother burst into tears while his stepfather had some choice words for the citizens standing outside of the police station. He yelled "Burn this motherf---er down!" and "Burn this b---- down!"

Head recently spoke with CNN's Don Lemon to explain the reasoning behind his outburst, and while he admitted that his words were not the best, he didn't believe that he was responsible for the civil unrest that took place during the riots.

"I was so angry and full of raw emotions, as so many others were, and granted, I screamed out words that I shouldn't have screamed in the heat of the moment," head said. "It was wrong, and I humbly apologize to all of those who read my pain and anger as a true desire for what I want for our community.

"But to place blame solely on me for the conditions of our community, and country, after the grand jury decision goes way too far and is as wrong as the decision itself. To declare a state of emergency and send a message of war, and not peace, before a grand jury decision was announced is also wrong.

Head also said that he's been apart of the community for a long time and he simple spoke out of anger, he admits that the last thing he wants to do is see the city destroyed.

Since the court's decision not to indict Officer Wilson, the city of Ferguson and other cities around the world have been participating in civil demonstrations to demand a change within the justice system.
