Halle Berry is a worldwide name for both her breathtaking beauty and being the first African-American woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress. But long before the fame, the star was a contestant in the 1986 Miss World pageant.

She's every bit the pageant queen as she smiles and wears a pink one-piece swimsuit and gaudy gold belt. Her gigantic hair is certainly worlds different than today, but even back then her body was better than most.
Another shot shows Berry posing with her competitors, including women from Finland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
The future actress came in sixth at Miss World 1986, but she did achieve one accolade: she was the first African-American entrant in the pageant's history.
Berry was a beauty competition regular in the 1980s. She took home the title of Miss Teen All-American in 1985 and Miss Ohio USA the following year.
She's come a long way since the Miss World stage. Berry is looking better than ever, and she just celebrated her 46th birthday on Tuesday. She's also mother to daughter Nahla, with model ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. But Berry has moved on and is now engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez.
