In August, Lowell opened up about her struggles with depression for the first time.
“My depression and anxiety were so severe, I didn’t want to live another day,” Lowell told In Touch Weekly. “I started having severe panic and anxiety attacks in the middle of the night, which led me into a deep depression. I couldn’t stop crying. I felt I’d be better off dead. I needed help.”
Upon realizing his fiancee was battling a serious illness, Tyler Baltierra called a psychiatrist and got her the help she needed. According to Lowell, Baltierra has struggled with depression, as well, and knew what it looked like. At her doctor's visit, Lowell was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety, and prescribed Zoloft and Abilify.
One year after receiving treatment, Lowell is back to normal. “I’ve been taking my meds and talking to someone regularly, and it’s gotten easier,” she explained.
Lowell and Baltierra are currently expecting their second child together, a girl, due next month.
