'Young And The Restless' Actor Kristoff St. John is 'Radio Silent' After Son's Death But Thanks Fans For Their Prayers
Young and the Restless actor Kristoff St. John thanked fans for their prayers as he continues to grieve over the loss of his son.
"Radio Silent...Trying to find my way back...#ThanksForPrayers #BetterDaysToCome #KeepTheFaith," the star tweeted on Monday.
Fans were quick to show more support for the 48-year-old actor with compassionate messages on Twitter. "Stay strong my friend, ur son is looking down on u & he is always there, sending u prayers, strength & many hugs," one fan tweeted, while another wrote, "you are not alone."
The actor, who has played Neil Winters on the CBS show since 1991, lost his son, Julian, on Dec. 5 to suicide. He explained that the 24-year-old, whom he had with ex-wife Mia St. John, suffered from schizophrenia for years.
"My son, my brother, my best friend. A liquid pool reflection of my soul, and his. The greatest young man I have had the honor to know, and father. I love you...till the end of time," St. John wrote on Twitter a few days after Julian's death.
On Julian's professional website, TheArtofJulian.com, he described himself as "a complex, but extraordinary young man" who uses his art to take people "through his journey of psychosis."
"It's a story of despair and triumph, where reality and delusion become intertwined," reads the website which displays his artwork.
