On Monday, the singer sang at a holiday concert at The Beacon Theatre in New York City where she sang a number of Christmas songs, including "Silent Night" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing."
Carey then sang her classic hit "Hero" where she apparently let out some tears. According to Hollywood Life, this is likely because she could be going through a troubling time with the breakup from her husband. It could've just been an overwhelming song, but with all the reports on what the status is on her love life, it sounds like this is a heartbreaking time.
Nick Cannon Explains How He Stays Positive Amid Split With Mariah Carey
Despite the fact that things may be difficult for Carey, Cannon recently admitted in an interview with Good Morning America that they're trying to make things as best as they can.
"Always focus on family," the TV host said, posted on E! News. "We'll forever be family. At the same time, we're there for our children, making them the No. 1 priority and understanding they're loved and can have an amazing holiday."
In an interview with In Touch, Cannon mentioned what he was thinking of buying his kids as presents for Christmas.
"My son loves games, like Angry Birds, but I'm trying to keep their eyes on the educational stuff," he said, posted on Daily Mail. "And honestly, my daughter likes sparkly things."
