'Teen Mom' Catelynn Lowell Experiences Pregnancy Pains
Earlier this year, Lowell opened up about her struggles with both depression and anxiety during an interview with In Touch Weekly. At the time, Lowell revealed she'd been medicated for the illness, but stated she had gone off one of her prescriptions because of her pregnancy.
“My depression and anxiety were so severe, I didn’t want to live another day,” Lowell told the magazine. “I started having severe panic and anxiety attacks in the middle of the night, which led me into a deep depression. I couldn’t stop crying. I felt I’d be better off dead. I needed help.”
After Baltierra, who has also dealt with depression, suggested Lowell see a doctor, the Teen Mom star was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety, and prescribed antidepressants (Zoloft and Abilify) and advised to speak with a counselor.
However, upon discovering her pregnancy, Lowell was told to stop taking Abilify until she gives birth.
